The Founders Who Win on LinkedIn Won’t Be the Ones Using AI the Most

Right now, it feels like everybody is talking about AI. Every week there is a new tool, a new feature, or a new promise that AI will completely transform how we create content.

And while I absolutely believe AI is one of the most powerful tools founders have access to today, I also think many people are focusing on the wrong thing.

The founders who will win on LinkedIn in the coming years will not be the ones using AI the most.

They will be the ones who know how to use AI without losing their authenticity.

Because if everybody has access to the same tools, then the tool itself is no longer the advantage.

The advantage becomes the person using it.

The Problem With AI-Generated Content

I see this happening all the time.

A founder opens ChatGPT, asks it to write a LinkedIn post, copies the result, and publishes it without changing anything. The post sounds professional, the grammar is correct, and the formatting looks polished.

But something feels missing.

The content doesn’t sound like a real person. It doesn’t contain any unique experiences, opinions, lessons, or perspective. It could have been written by anyone.

And that’s exactly the problem.

LinkedIn is becoming flooded with content that sounds almost identical. The more AI-generated content appears, the more valuable authentic human perspectives become.

People Follow People, Not Algorithms

One thing I always remind my clients is that people don’t follow you because your content is perfectly written.

They follow you because of how you think.

They follow you because of your experiences, your stories, your lessons, and your perspective on the world.

Two founders can use exactly the same AI tool and ask exactly the same prompt. Yet the founder who adds personal insights, real examples, and genuine experiences will always create more memorable content.

Because people connect with people.

They don’t connect with software.

Authenticity Becomes More Valuable in the AI Era

Ironically, the more content becomes automated, the more valuable authenticity becomes.

A few years ago, simply publishing content consistently was enough to stand out. Today, almost anyone can generate hundreds of posts in a few minutes.

This means that quantity is no longer impressive.

What stands out now is originality.

Your experiences building a company.

Your mistakes.

Your lessons.

Your opinions.

Your observations from working with clients.

Those are things AI cannot truly replicate because they belong to you.

AI Should Amplify Your Voice

I use AI myself, and I encourage founders to use it as well.

AI can help you brainstorm ideas, structure articles, improve grammar, organize thoughts, and save an incredible amount of time.

But I don’t think AI should become your voice.

I think it should amplify your voice.

The goal isn’t to sound like ChatGPT. The goal is to sound more like yourself while working faster.

When founders understand this difference, their content immediately becomes stronger because they stop relying on AI to create their identity and start using it to support their identity.

The Most Successful Founders Still Lead With Perspective

When I look at founders who are building strong personal brands on LinkedIn, I notice something interesting.

They are not necessarily the people using the most advanced AI tools.

They are the people who consistently share valuable perspectives.

They educate their audience.

They talk about their experiences.

They tell stories from their business journey.

They explain what they’ve learned from successes and failures.

AI can help package those ideas, but the ideas themselves still come from the founder.

And that’s what creates trust.

LinkedIn Rewards Human Expertise

At its core, LinkedIn is still a platform built around professional relationships.

People come to LinkedIn to learn, connect, build trust, and discover expertise.

That’s why I believe founders should focus less on finding the perfect AI prompt and more on developing their own point of view.

Because in the long run, expertise beats automation.

Experience beats templates.

And authenticity beats generic content every single time.

The founders who win on LinkedIn won’t be the ones generating the most content with AI. They’ll be the ones using AI strategically while continuing to show up as real humans with real experiences, real opinions, and real stories worth sharing.

And if you want to learn how to combine AI, personal branding, and LinkedIn strategy in a way that actually supports business growth, that’s exactly what we teach inside Digital Business College ELITE, where founders learn how to build authority, trust, and visibility without losing the authentic voice that makes them unique.
