It’s no secret that personal branding is one of the most talked-about topics today. But despite that, it’s still one of the most undervalued business assets. Many professionals or business owners know how important it is to be aware of the public online and have a solid personal brand, but only a small percentage actually do it consistently and strategically.
What could be the reason for this? Perhaps it’s because personal branding can’t be done quickly and is more of a long-term investment that builds trust, awareness, and opportunities over time. It’s also difficult for entrepreneurs to follow a long-term strategy and wait patiently.
I’m Marie, CEO and founder of a $1M+ marketing agency, and we do exactly for our clients what I’ll tell you about now.

Why is personal branding more than just an online presence
From what I see, most businesses focus only on LinkedIn. But personal branding is so much deeper. Your personal brand isn’t just your posts or profile stats – it’s your reputation. It’s what people say about you when you’re not in the room.
When a business takes care of its personal brand, over time it builds trust and a sense of connection with its audience, and the audience becomes loyal to the business. Visibility in the industry grows naturally.
Why Most People Ignore Personal Branding
Even today, many entrepreneurs and CEOs don’t make personal branding a real priority. Paid ads seem easier: spend money, get instant results. But personal branding? That takes discipline.
So usually, like, people believe that company brand is enough and many times I also see it with some of our clients that they are actually prioritizing their company page on LinkedIn instead of their profile.
The truth is that people will always be more interested in how many coffees you drank per day rather than, like, what are the achievements of your company. That’s why showing who you are, your personality, and your values matters more than just posting company stats.
But many professionals have tons of expertise but struggle to share it publicly. They know what they know but aren’t sure how to present it. That’s probably why they often stick to ads instead of investing in their long-term brand.

Why do you need a personal brand
Here’s the reality today: people research you before they meet you. They Google you, check LinkedIn, see what you post, and form an opinion before you even walk into the room.
LinkedIn is the CEO boardroom online. It’s where connections happen, partnerships start, and clients notice you. Choosing the right platform is key, and LinkedIn is perfect for B2B visibility.
And this is also why we have different types of content that you’re sharing on your profile – where we can actually see how many people are potential buyers and how many people are interested in who you really are.
So you need to develop your personal brand if you want to also have your company page on LinkedIn. Because your company page is actually taking information from your personal profile. You can invite people who are in your connections on your personal profile to follow your company page.

It really works as a specific ecosystem, and it’s no longer true that company brand alone is enough. Personal branding powers the company page, not the other way around. Besides that, consistency is critical. A single post rarely moves the needle. A strong personal brand grows when you show up regularly, share value, and build trust.
And remember that increasing visibility isn’t just advertising yourself. It’s about creating value, sharing insights, and building relationships. That’s how you grow opportunities, partnerships, and clients through your personal brand.
The Domino Effect of Personal Branding
One of the coolest things about personal branding is what I like to call the domino effect. When you consistently show up, share your expertise, and build trust, everything else starts falling into place almost automatically. People notice you, your visibility grows, connections and potential clients start paying attention, and opportunities like collaborations, partnerships, or deals begin to appear.
The more people see your value, the more they trust you, and the more they recommend you, it’s like pushing the first domino, and everything else follows. Once your personal brand is strong, this effect keeps going, even while you focus on running your business. This is why personal branding isn’t just a nice-to-have. One small, consistent action on your profile today can spark opportunities months down the line and all without spending extra on ads.
How Your Personal Brand Actually Gets You Clients
What’s also important is that investors and clients are also on LinkedIn. And here’s something most people don’t realize: they don’t just invest in companies but they invest in people. In fact, around 90% of investors I’ve seen will back a strong personal brand over a company, because they want to bet their money on someone they trust, not just on statistics or charts.
The same goes for clients: they’re more likely to work with a person they feel connected to, who shares insights, expertise, and values, rather than a faceless company. This is exactly why building your personal brand isn’t just about visibility or reputation but it directly impacts your ability to attract investment, partnerships, and high-value clients.
People want to see you, know you, and trust you before they make a commitment, and a strong personal brand gives them exactly that.

At the end of the day, your personal brand is your reputation in action – it scales before you even open your mouth. People see your content, your ideas, your expertise, and they start forming opinions, trust, and connections long before you meet them in real life. That’s the power of a strong personal brand: it doesn’t just create visibility, it creates influence, credibility, and opportunities that grow over time.
